Dad improved physically last week, as he recovered from the pneumonia. He gained some strength and now is managing his walker again, with help, for very short distances. He is easily confused, his short-term memory vanishes quickly, and his long-term memory is mostly lost even with prompting. He does still recognize family and seems calmer when one of us is around, especially and mostly Mom of course. Emotionally, he seems to have a calmer frame of mind. (more…)

Holidays, such as they were, are over.
I’m back to work, but spent my last day off taking some pictures in and around Ottawa’s Arboretum. I’ve produced different treatments of the same capture in some cases. I also learned the dangers of over-polarizing. (more…)

The race at Spa-Franchorchamps this weekend should be pretty darn interesting.
