Healthy Internet Connections
I was reading a post on sensorymetrics regarding the quality of internet connections in Gatineau (Hull), QC, which is just across the Ottawa river from us. The article linked a site that provides an internet connection speed test, so I ran it.
As I expected, our Roger’s residential connection is pretty robust!

Wow, that’s fast! I’m moving across the river for Rogers!
I wonder if it’s the same for all content. I’ve heard that certain content types are slowed down. I wonder how you could test for that?
Don’t know Jobe. I’ve heard of the traffic shaping, but I’ve never noticed any massive slow-downs when using Bittorrent. I don’t use any other P2P protocols, so can’t comment on them.
THANK YOU for managing to use English. Most sites were complete gibberish…
