The service was short and touching, and afterward, guests mingled inside and throughout the beautiful grounds of Strathmere. A slide-show loop showed a series of pictures of both Aaron and Brianna as they grew up — on holidays at the beach or cottage, at Christmas gatherings, and at get-togethers with family and childhood friends, most of whom were on hand to help celebrate the couple’s declaration of love together.

After a delicious dinner, the formal part of the program went smoothly. Grandma and Grandpa Dolan couldn’t make it, but sent a toast to be read:

On behalf of Aaron’s Grandmother and Grandfather, I’d like to offer a toast to the bride and groom. I know they wanted to be here to share this day — sure to be the one of the best in your lives — but it wasn’t to be. Testament to their love for you both, they said to wish you as long and happy a marriage as theirs has been. And so here’s to you – we hope you enjoy more than 6 decades in love with one another. To Brianna and Aaron.

Congratulations Aaron, and welcome to our crazy family, Brianna. We love you both and wish you a lifetime of love, happiness and laughter together.
